The PRECISE center at the University of Pennsylvania is seeking applications for postdoctoral researchers to work on projects in Distributed Real-Time Systems. The goal of the projects is to develop foundational techniques and tools for freshness-aware design, analysis and scheduling of computation and communication infrastructure used in the implementation of distributed real-time systems. We are looking for candidates with an interest and experience in real-time systems and distributed cyber-physical systems. Researchers with a strong background and substantial experience in compositional analysis, adaptive resource allocation, mixed-criticality analysis and scheduling, real-time virtualization, multi-mode systems, time-sensitive networking and cloud/edge computing are encouraged to apply. Candidates who are strong in both theory and systems building will be preferred. The position is offered for the initial period of one year, with an option to renew for subsequent years. The position will be available until a qualified candidate is found. A competitive salary will be offered.
