HotSoS 2022: Submit Pre-Recorded Talk Presentations

The 2022 HotSoS Symposium will be fully virtual this year. Plenary presentations will take place on the Hopin virtual conference platform. Networking and poster sessions will be held on the platform.

Important Dates


Presenters have the option of pre-recording their presentation or delivering it live. If pre-recorded, we will need the video file by Wednesday, March 23, 2022. Submit via the form below. At least one author should join the virtual session to answer questions live on screen. A session moderator will facilitate the Q&A portion of the session. The symposium organizers will initiate the playback of pre-recorded presentations. 

The presentation abstracts will be digitally distributed on the symposium website. Please submit your print-ready abstract by Wednesday, March 9, 2022 to

Video Specifications for Pre-Recorded Talks

  • The video should show the speaker presenting the slides, as if presenting them live. 
  • The recording should show the slides in full-screen mode, with webcam footage of the speaker in the top right corner (see below for how to record such a video with Zoom).
  • Length:
    • Keynote presentations: 45 minutes
    • Works-Already-Published presentations: 20 minutes
    • Works-In-Progress: 10 minutes or less
  • MP4 file format
  • Clear audio (headsets are permitted)
  • The following file naming convention, wherein [lastname] is the last name of the presenter of the paper:  lastname_Mark_ hotsos2022.mp4 (e.g. WATNEY _ Mark_hotsos2022.mp4
