Municipal leaders, technological innovators and government leaders from across the globe will gather at the NIST Campus in Gaithersburg, Maryland on November 12-13 for the Global City Team Challenge Kick-off Workshop.

At the Workshop, NIST and GCTC Partners will share information about the new round of the GCTC and highlight new opportunities for organizations participating in GCTC Action Clusters.
Similar to last year's kick-off, a primary objective of the Workshop is to facilitate team-building and initiate the development of Action Clusters. To view the preliminary agenda, please click here.

- New Federal partner for the GCTC - the General Services Administration (GSA)
- Participants from representative of the municipal governments of Austin TX, Charlotte NC, Columbus OH, Newport News VA, Portland OR, and San Jose, CA.
- Speakers from the White House and the central governments of the Netherlands and South Korea
- IoT/Smart City tools and platform working sessions with GCTC Partners including IBM and FIWARE.

Participation in the Workshop is free of charge. PLEASE NOTE: NIST is a controlled-access facility. In order to gain access to the grounds you must register for the GCTC Kick-Off Event on the NIST site.
Finally, if you are not able to join us in Gaithersburg on November 12-13, please consider joining one of approximately 25 local GCTC kick-off events that IBM is convening in cities across the globe.
