GE Intelligent World Hackathon

GE just launched the Intelligent World Hackathon, a global online competition to encourage urban innovation using sensor data with Predix, GE's Industrial Internet of Things platform. During the competition, software developers and data engineers will be among the first to use the Predix cloud to analyze sensor data from these networks -- allowing them to build apps that improve city living in one of four major areas: parking and traffic, pedestrian planning, intelligent commercial and retail buildings, and public safety.

All participants get a free Predix developer account during the hackathon, along with a shot at $55,000 in cash prizes. The grand prize, second prize, and category winners also receive a year-long free Predix account, as well as a meeting with GE Ventures, GE's startup incubator. To learn more, please visit--
