In order to evaluate the network security risks and implement effective defenses in industrial control system, a risk assessment method for industrial control systems based on attack graphs is proposed. Use the concept of network security elements to translate network attacks into network state migration problems and build an industrial control network attack graph model. In view of the current subjective evaluation of expert experience, the atomic attack probability assignment method and the CVSS evaluation system were introduced to evaluate the security status of the industrial control system. Finally, taking the centralized control system of the thermal power plant as the experimental background, the case analysis is performed. The experimental results show that the method can comprehensively analyze the potential safety hazards in the industrial control system and provide basis for the safety management personnel to take effective defense measures.

Based on the analysis of the difficulties and pain points of privacy protection in the opening and sharing of government data, this paper proposes a new method for intelligent discovery and protection of structured and unstructured privacy data. Based on the improvement of the existing government data masking process, this method introduces the technologies of NLP and machine learning, studies the intelligent discovery of sensitive data, the automatic recommendation of masking algorithm and the full automatic execution following the improved masking process. In addition, the dynamic masking and static masking prototype with text and database as data source are designed and implemented with agent-based intelligent masking middleware. The results show that the recognition range and protection efficiency of government privacy data, especially government unstructured text have been significantly improved.

The rapid growth of power Internet of Things devices has led to traditional data security sharing mechanisms that are no longer suitable for attribute and permission management of massive devices. In response to this problem, this article proposes a blockchain-based data security sharing mechanism for the power Internet of Things, which reduces the risk of data leakage through decentralization in the architecture and promotes the integration of multiple information and methods.

User authentication in wireless sensor networks is more complex than normal networks due to sensor network characteristics such as unmanned operation, limited resources, and unreliable communication. For this reason, various authentication protocols have been presented to provide secure and efficient communication. In 2017, Wu et al. presented a provable and privacy-preserving user authentication protocol for wireless sensor networks. Unfortunately, we found that Wu et al.'s protocol was still vulnerable against user impersonation attack, and had a problem in the password change phase. We show how an attacker can impersonate an other user and why the password change phase is ineffective.

The notion of integrated circuit split manufacturing which delegates the front-end-of-line (FEOL) and back-end-of-line (BEOL) parts to different foundries, is to prevent overproduction, piracy of the intellectual property (IP), or targeted insertion of hardware Trojans by adversaries in the FEOL facility. In this work, we challenge the security promise of split manufacturing by formulating various layout-level placement and routing hints as vector- and image-based features. We construct a sophisticated deep neural network which can infer the missing BEOL connections with high accuracy. Compared with the publicly available network-flow attack [1], for the same set of ISCAS-85benchmarks, we achieve 1.21× accuracy when splitting on M1 and 1.12× accuracy when splitting on M3 with less than 1% running time.

Phishing emails have affected users seriously due to the enormous increasing in numbers and exquisite camouflage. Users spend much more effort on distinguishing the email properties, therefore current phishing email detection system demands more creativity and consideration in filtering for users. The proposed research tries to adopt creative computing in detecting phishing emails for users through a combination of computing techniques and social engineering concepts. In order to achieve the proposed target, the fraud type is summarised in social engineering criteria through literature review; a semantic web database is established to extract and store information; a fuzzy logic control algorithm is constructed to allocate email categories. The proposed approach will help users to distinguish the categories of emails, furthermore, to give advice based on different categories allocation. For the purpose of illustrating the approach, a case study will be presented to simulate a phishing email receiving scenario.
