Visible to the public PIRE: Undergraduate Research Opportunity in Spring 2022Conflict Detection Enabled

Please submit the form below to apply for the Science of Design for Societal-Scale Cyber-Physical Systems undergraduate research opportunity. The 1-hour seminar series will be held on Monday mornings from 8am to 9am. Five or more students will be selected from the seminar participants to go to Germany for an 8-week summer internship.

Travel to Germany is contingent upon conditions with the pandemic. If international travel is impossible, students will work with research teams from the U.S. and remotely with German collaborators.

For complete details, please see: https://cps-vo.org/group/sdss-cps/callforstudents. To get an idea of the topics covered in the seminar series, please see: https://cps-vo.org/group/sdss-cps/seminars. There are typically 1-2 short readings per week.

The submission deadline is Friday, December 10, 2021.

Students who participate in the summer internships abroad will need to attend ~3 to 4 meetings in the Fall of 2022 to finalize a project report about the work. Please note that due to constraints with the grant funds, you must be a US Citizen to be eligible for the summer internship in Germany. There will be internship opportunities on the Vanderbilt campus for those who are not eligible to go to Germany.
