The Institute for Software Integrated Systems (ISIS) is a professional research institute at the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering, located just off campus on Nashville's Music Row. Our work focuses on systems, with deeply integrated software, that are networked, embedded and cyber-physical. We conduct cutting-edge, world-class research on real-world problems in the following areas:
- Model-Integrated Computing
- Distributed Real-Time and Embedded Systems
- Wireless Sensor Networks
- Model-Based Design of Cyber Physical Systems
- Systems Security and Privacy
VU-ISIS has a variety of opportunities available throughout the year. We start accepting applications for the VU-ISIS Summer Internship Program in January of each year. Each Spring we offer a seminar centered around societal implications of cyber-physical systems. Participants of the seminar are eligible for an NSF funded research internship with collaborating universities in Germany. Details about applying to the program can be found here.
