The NIH Common Fund has announced FY2026 funding opportunities for the NIH Director’s Pioneer Award, New Innovator Award, and Transformative Research Award in the High-Risk, High-Reward Research program. These awards provide opportunities for exceptionally creative scientists at all career stages to pursue highly innovative approaches to address major challenges in biomedical or behavioral research across the NIH mission.

 

NIH Director's Pioneer Award (DP1 - Clinical Trial Optional): RFA-RM-25-001

  • The Pioneer Award supports individual scientists at any career stage with outstanding records of creativity who propose pioneering approaches to address major challenges in biomedical and behavioral research.

NIH Director's New Innovator Award (DP2 - Clinical Trial Optional): RFA-RM-25-002
