About the 20th NSF CPS Program Anniversary Workshop
The two-day workshop will be held at George Mason University’s Arlington Square Campus, specifically at FUSE at Mason Square building, located at 3401 North Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA 22201 on October 21–22, 2026, with an arrival day of October 20, 2026. FUSE at Mason Square is a separate, newer building located immediately adjacent to the main GMU Arlington Square buildings.
The goal of the workshop is to review and assess the past two decades of CPS research advancements, identify enduring challenges, and develop a forward-looking research agenda for the next twenty years. The workshop can be viewed as a reflection and celebration of the CPS program and its road ahead to an even brighter future. This workshop is part of the NSF Small Workshops Series as requested by the NSF CPS Program Directors.
Parking Information
Mason Square Visitor Parking
Visitor parking is available in the Van Metre Hall, Vernon Smith and Fuse Parking Garages. Guests are encouraged to enter the specific garage name and ‘Founders Way North’ in their GPS to ensure accurate directions.
The Fuse Parking Garage, Van Metre Parking Garage and Vernon Smith Garage are all accessible via Founders Way North from either Kirkwood Rd. or Washington Blvd. Guests should follow the posted garage signage to ensure they enter the correct parking facility.
Payment for parking in the Van Metre Hall, Vernon Smith and Fuse Garages is made via the Metropolis app available below. Visitors parking in any garage should enter, park, and proceed to their destination. Signs with a QR code are located throughout the garages. Guests need to scan the QR code, then follow the prompts to enter license plate and payment information. We recommend guests scan the QR code and complete the process prior to arrival at Mason Square, since internet connectivity in the garages can be limited. However, if guests are unable to scan the QR code from the garage, they should proceed to park and can scan the QR code once inside the building and then complete the process from there. (Please note guests will need to know their license plate number in order to complete the process.) Guests will only need to complete this process one time; future visits will be drive-in/drive-out.
