The two-day workshop will be held at George Mason University’s Arlington Square Campus, specifically at FUSE at Mason Square building, located at 3401 North Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA 22201 on October 21–22, 2026, with an arrival day of October 20, 2026. FUSE at Mason Square is a separate, newer building located immediately adjacent to the main GMU Arlington Square buildings. 

The goal of the workshop is to review and assess the past two decades of CPS research advancements, identify enduring challenges, and develop a forward-looking research agenda for the next twenty years. The workshop can be viewed as a reflection and celebration of the CPS program and its road ahead to an even brighter future. This workshop is part of the NSF Small Workshops Series as requested by the NSF CPS Program Directors.
