COVID-19 Policy

1. In general, the 2023 FRR-NRI PI Meeting will be largely guided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Community Risk Level tool found at COVID-19 by County | CDC. The current COVID-19 Community Level for Arlington, VA (the PI Meeting city location) is "LOW". The organizers recommend that all meeting attendees adhere to the following selected CDC low risk recommendations prior to arriving at the Crystal Gateway Marriott:

  • Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines, including recommended booster doses.
  • Maintain ventilation improvements.
  • Avoid contact with people who have suspected or confirmed COVID-19.
  • Follow recommendations for isolation if you have suspected or confirmed COVID-19.
  • Follow the recommendations for what to do if you are exposed to someone with COVID-19.
  • If you are at high risk of getting very sick, talk with a healthcare provider about additional prevention actions.

2. Mask Wearing: Any meeting participant is welcome to wear a mask in all 2023 FRR-NRI PI Meeting designated meeting room spaces (including meeting rooms and hallways in addition to other such designated spaces) if so desired.

3. If participants knowingly have the COVID-19 virus or experience symptoms 5 days prior to the meeting dates, the meeting organizers recommend that you do not attend the meeting.

4. If participants experience symptoms at any time during the meeting, please immediately abort attendance and inform the meeting organizers who will provide you with the location of the nearest health treatment facilities.

5. The meeting organizers will have free face masks and sanitizer at stations throughout the meeting space by request.
