KATHERINE "KATE" OWENS

Katherine "Kate" Owens is a senior at Lipscomb University majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. She is currently working on a NASA funded research project in computational fluid dynamics. This research entails using OpenFoam to analyze turbulent flow over ribbed surfaces, including thermal effects. She is also involved in engineering missions and helped implement a water system in Guatemala.

Kate is working on the SWRI project under the supervision of Dr. Ted Bapty.
