MAYA KUMAR

Maya Kumar is a junior Computer Science and Mathematics major at Vanderbilt University, minoring in Engineering Management. She is very interested in environmentalism and sustainability. In particular, she hopes to explore the ways that computer science can be used to create a more sustainable future, and she aims to work in the green tech industry one day. She is from Fremont, California and in her free time, she loves to dance in cultural showcases and cook. She is also currently teaching herself how to make IOS apps.

Maya is working on the "Science of Design for Societal-Scale Cyber-Physical Systems" project under the supervision of Dr. Janos Sztipanovits.
