Computing Research Association (CRA) to fund REU Supplements Starting April 15, 2026

NSF recently awarded CRA for REU supplements. 

The number of NSF programs initially eligible is limited to the programs below. The following programs are eligible for supplements:

• Campus Cyberinfrastructure (CC*) 
• Communications and Information Foundations (CIF) 
• Computer Systems Research (CSR) 
• Computing Education Research (CER) 
• Cyberinfrastructure for Sustained Scientific Innovation (CSSI) 
• Cyber-Physical System Foundations and Connected Communities (CPS) 
• Cybersecurity Innovation for Cyberinfrastructure (CICI) 
• Foundational Research in Robotics (FRR) 
• Foundations of Emerging Technologies (FET) 
• Human-Centered Computing (HCC) 
• Information Integration and Informatics (III) 
• Networking Technology and Systems (NeTS) 
• Robust Intelligence (RI) 
• Security, Privacy, and Trust in Cyberspace (SaTC) 

• Software and Hardware Foundations (SHF)
