The proliferation of smart devices such as smartphones, tablets, and eBooks, simultaneously with recent developments in sensing capability, cloud computing, wireless communications, data storage, middleware and software, is reshaping and revolutionizing mobile computing systems. IWCMC Mobile Computing Symposium aims to focus on state-of-the-art research in mobile computing systems and applications. The objective of this symposium is to serve as an international forum for experts from academia, industry and government to exchange ideas and results on mobile applications, services, and systems.
TOPICS of INTEREST:
You are invited to submit original technical papers covering but not limited to the following topics:
- Mobile, sensing, and social applications
- Internet of Things systems and applications
- Cloud-mobile system architectures and middleware
- Crowd-sourcing based mobile applications
- Wearable computing and new mobile devices
- Context sensing, activity recognition and awareness
- Location based services programming models and middleware
- User experience and interfaces for mobile applications
- Vehicular network applications and systems
- Local-area, Personal-area and Body-area networks and systems
- Security and privacy in mobile systems
- Sensor fusion, social sensing and reality mining
- Operating systems and middleware for mobile systems
- Tools for building and evaluating mobile systems
- Software architectures for smart devices
- Infrastructure support for mobile systems
- Energy management for smart devices
- Data management for mobile applications
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Prospective authors are invited to submit original technical papers by the deadline February 15, 2016 (extended) for publication in the IWCMC 2016 Conference Proceedings. All submissions should be written in English with a maximum paper length of six (6) printed pages (minimum 10-point font) including figures, without incurring additional page charges (maximum 2 additional pages, with over-length page fee). Standard IEEE Transactions templates for Microsoft Word or LaTeX formats found at: http://www.ieee.org/portal/pages/pubs/transactions/stylesheets.html
Only PDF files will be accepted for the review process and all submissions must be done through EDAS at: https://edas.info/N21389
Selected papers will be further invited to be considered for possible publication in one of five special issues in the following Journals:

- The Int. Journal of Sensor Networks (IJSNet)
