New Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Data Webinar Recordings Available Online

Recordings from the Regional Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Data Sharing and Providing Emerging ITS Data to the Public webinars are now available online.

The Regional ITS Data Sharing webinar was held on Friday, March 31, 2017, and the featured speaker was Ariel Gold, the ITS Joint Program Office (JPO) Data Program Manager. The webinar recording discusses historical and emerging needs to share ITS data between local jurisdictions and how to apply the design principles of extensibility and replicability to data systems. This webinar also discusses the ITS JPO Data Program’s role in supporting adoption of these methods and a planned Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) related to this topic.

The Providing Emerging ITS Data to the Public webinar was held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, and the key speakers were Ariel Gold and Michael Pack (University of Maryland, Center for Advanced Transportation Technology). The webinar recording discusses current and future ITS data sets that are available for research purposes and provides examples of data types and potential uses. Those interested in accessing such ITS research data are encouraged to engage in follow-on discussions with the ITS JPO to inform the program’s roadmap for research data sharing.
