The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Information Innovation Office (I2O) is sponsoring a Proposers Day, to provide information to potential proposers on the objectives of the anticipated Assured Autonomy Broad Agency Announcement (BAA). If released, the BAA will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website: https://www.fedbizopps.gov
This Proposers Day is unclassified.
The Proposers Day will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (ET) at the DARPA Conference Center, located at 675 N. Randolph Street, Arlington, Virginia, 22203. Advance registration is required. Attendance at the Assured Autonomy Proposers Day is voluntary and is not required to propose to subsequent solicitations (if any) on this topic. The Proposers Day does not constitute a formal solicitation for proposals or abstracts. This announcement is issued solely for information and program planning purposes, and is not a Request for Information (RFI). Since this is not an RFI, no submissions against this notice will be accepted by DARPA. DARPA will not provide reimbursement for costs incurred to participate in this Proposers Day. Interested parties to this notice are cautioned that nothing herein obligates DARPA to issue a solicitation.
The Proposers Day will include overview presentations by DARPA personnel, and time will be made available for teaming presentations and side-bar meeting with the Assured Autonomy Program Manager (PM). Those attendees who wish to provide a two-minute presentation on their company’s/organization’s capabilities at the Proposers Day event, may register to do so on the registration site. The time allotted for these presentations will also be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Additionally, those attendees who wish to schedule a side-bar meeting with the Assured Autonomy PM, may do so on the registration site. The time allotted for these meetings will be filed on a first-come, first-served basis. Following the Proposers Day, DARPA anticipates posting additional information regarding the Assured Autonomy program (e.g., DARPA materials presented at the Proposers Day and a frequently asked questions [FAQ] document) to http://www.darpa.mil/work-withus/opportunities.
DARPA hosts Proposer Days to promote teaming arrangements between researchers, provide potential performers with information on whether and how they might respond to the Government's research and development solicitations, and to increase efficiency in proposal preparation and evaluation. Therefore, Proposer Days are open only to registered potential proposers.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
The Proposers Day will be held on August 15, 2017, at the DARPA Conference Center in Arlington, Virginia. Check-in begins at 9:00 AM (ET). The meeting will begin at 10:00 AM (ET). Please register at: https://www.schafertmd.com/darpa/i2o/assuredautonomy/pd/ no later than 12:00 PM (ET) on August 10, 2017. Please note that all attendees will be required to submit a completed Form 104 at the registration table for admittance into the Assured Autonomy Proposers Day. This form can be found at: http://www.darpa.mil/policy/visitor-information. Online registration closes: Thursday August, 10, 2017, at 12:00 PM (ET) or when capacity is reached, whichever comes first. Due to space limitations of the conference facility, attendance will be limited to the first 175 registrants. No more than two representatives per organizational unit and five people per overall organization may attend. Registrants are encouraged to coordinate attendance internally within their organizations prior to registration. Attendance is open to individuals who are U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, and foreign nationals. Upon entry to the event, all attendees will be required to present valid, Governmentissued photo identification. Any registrant who is not a U.S. citizen is required to submit a DARPA Form 60 “Foreign National Visit Request” no later than 12:00 PM (ET) on August 10, 2017. The form and submission instructions are provided on the registration website. There is no fee for the Proposers Day.
