The Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America) and the Shared-Use Mobility Center, with support from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and in partnership with both the National Center for Mobility Management and the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), are hosting a two-part workshop to discuss the challenges of Mobility On Demand (MOD) and explore solutions. The workshop immediately follows APTA's Annual Meeting & EXPO at the Georgia World Congress Center and is free of charge.

Key events:

Interactive Forum: Lessons Learned from MOD Partnerships, featuring representatives from state DOTs, transit agencies, and a range of MOD service providers. This discussion will include panelist presentations on successes and challenges encountered in past and existing partnerships, followed by interactive discussion groups on how to better deploy MOD moving forward (such as ways to improve program awareness and outreach, foster and expand collaboration, capture and communicate partnership data, and improve integration with existing transit services).

Panel Discussion: Making the Most of Data from MOD Partnerships, featuring decision makers in public agencies & transportation network companies (TNCs). This discussion will focus on how data from MOD pilot projects can be used by transit agencies, what concerns exist around data sharing, and what approaches are available to successfully meet planning, legal, and business considerations and goals.

Registration for the APTA annual meeting is NOT required to attend the workshop. Should you need accommodations, you can find hotel information on APTA's website (you can choose "EXPO Only Attendee" under Attendee Type if you are not attending the APTA Annual Meeting).
