Title: ITS Public Research Data Update
Date: Thursday, January 25, 2018
Time: 12:00 - 1:00 PM ET
Presenters: Ariel Gold, Data Program Manager, U.S. Department of Transportation // James O’Hara, ITS Analyst, Noblis

The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) ITS Joint Program Office (JPO) will host a webinar which will provide an update to ITS data stakeholders on new data now available for free to the public.

Ariel Gold, the ITS JPO Data Program Manager, will highlight preliminary data streaming from the Wyoming Connected Vehicle Pilot and discuss current and future data sets along with examples of potential uses. The Wyoming Connected Vehicle Pilot will be generating both basic safety messages (BSMs) and traveler information messages, which will be made available to the public during the demonstration period. Making this data publicly and freely available furthers the ITS JPO’s mission to provide quality ITS data to promote research, software development, ITS deployment, and innovation.

Ms. Gold will also provide an update on ITS Data Program activities, which includes a new public web interface (ITS Public Data Hub) and its capabilities to access and work with the data. James O’Hara will provide a demonstration of some of the ITS Public Data Hub capabilities. The ITS Public Data Hub can be found at www.its.dot.gov/data.
