The 2001 IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy was held in Oakland, California on May 13-16. The 2001 symposium marked the 22nd annual meeting of this flagship conference, the premier conference in the field of computer security. This year we planned to re-establish our emphasis on electronic privacy, while continuing to attract the most significant advances in all areas of computer security.
