Code of Conduct

The 2020 NRI PI Meeting Code of Conduct is based on an adopted, modified, and abridged code of conduct policy version authorized by the 2020 NRI PI Meeting Program Chair from the University of Michigan.

Policy on Nondiscrimination
The NRI PI Meeting, complies with all applicable federal and state laws regarding nondiscrimination and affirmative action. The NRI PI Meeting is committed to a policy of equal opportunity for all persons and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, marital status, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, religion, height, weight, or veteran status in employment, educational programs and activities, and admissions.

Policy on Discrimination and Harassment

It is the policy of the NRI PI Meeting to maintain an academic and work environment free of discrimination and harassment for all. Discrimination and harassment are contrary to the standards of the NRI community. They diminish individual dignity and impede educational opportunities, equal access to freedom of academic inquiry, and equal employment. Discrimination and harassment are barriers to fulfilling the NRI’s scholarly, research, educational, patient care, and service missions. Discrimination and harassment on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, marital status, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, religion, height, weight or veteran's status will not be tolerated at the NRI PI Meeting.

The NRI PI Meeting is firmly committed to an environment free of discrimination and harassment as prohibited by this policy and federal and state laws.

All attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers at our meeting are required to agree with the code of conduct. More information regarding Code of Conduct can be found at: https://spg.umich.edu/policy/201.89-1. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everyone.
