50% of apps in many industry have major vulnerabilty issues

A recent WhiteHat Security study reports that at least 50% of apps used in manufacturing healthcare, retail, government services, education, and utilities contain one or more exploitable vulnerabilities.  Manufacturing was even higher with a 70% having issues.  The problems ranged from information leakage, insufficient session expiration, ross site scripting, lack of transport layer protection and content spooling.  And one of the big problems is that it took longer to fix the vulnerabilities with an average of 189 days.
