Virtual Venue

Virtual Venue

The virtual workshop presentations and discussion will take place on the Zoom platform. Registered attendees will receive an email with instructions for accessing the platforms in the days prior to the event.

Zoom is a widely used collaborative virtual events and conferencing platform. All sessions for the workshop will take place in the platform. There are several things you can do to ensure you have the best experience on Zoom:

In general, using a laptop or desktop will be much more successful than a tablet or phone. To test your interet connection, you can do a speedtest.net test. ("Upload" speed is the most important measure).
Zoom can be accessed from your meeting invite link by clicking "Open zoom.us" for the app view or "Launch Meeting" to join from your browser instead. Chrome is the recommended browser.

Stipends

Stipends for participating in the workshop are available to participants upon request. Guidelines for attendees to apply for a stipend can be found here. Please review the guidelines prior to RSVPing to the workshop. Completion of stipend requests will be due by Monday, September 26th, and may require some processing time. You must attend the workshop in its entirety on both days to qualify for a stipend.

Code of Conduct

All workshop participants must adhere to NSF policy regarding harassment and code of conduct.
