Abstract: The project focuses on swarming cyber-physical systems (swarming CPS) consisting of a collection of mobile networked agents, each of which has sensing, computing, communication, and locomotion capabilities, and that have a wide range of civilian and military applications. Different from conventional static CPS, swarming CPS rely on mobile computing entities, e.g., robots, which collaboratively interact with phenomena of interest at different physical locations.

Abstract: Hundreds of millions of people travel in vehicles every day around the world. How to improve road safety and efficiency using cyber technologies (such as connected vehicles) is a critical issue in today’s society. We have been working on a NSF cyber physical system (CPS) project that addresses some key challenges in the design and evaluation of cyber transportation systems (CTS), taking into consideration issues related to human-factors.
