Panel Presentation: The Future Trends of Autonomy

BIO:

Mr Jacob Hinchman is the Technical Area Lead for Certification Technologies of Complex Systems assigned to the Air Vehicles Directorate of the Air Force Research Labs at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. Upon receiving a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and through the ROTC program, Jacob was commissioned in May 1998. Afterwards he attended Georgia Institute of

Technology, achieving a M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering. As an engineer in the Controls Development branch, he has served as Program Manager for the Automated Area Refueling Program, as lead for the Multi-Unmanned Air System (UAS) Cooperative Control roadmap, and as a researcher in UAS teaming strategies. In his current assignment, Jacob oversees the in-house research team and contractor teams researching Software V&V, Design for Certification, and data integrity.
