Abstract: Overview: The human cost of transportation in the US reaches an unnecessary 33000 fatalities and 2.2 million injuries every year. The inefficiency of road transportation also burdens our economy, with only the cost of fuel wasted in traffic reaching $88 billion a year.

Abstract: The objective of this proposal is to exploit an early concept of a flexible, low-cost, and drone-carried broadband long-distance communication infrastructure and investigate its capability for immediate smart-city application in emergency response.

This session focuses on methods and design tools for the exploration, analysis, simulation, selection, synthesis, and optimization of E/E automotive architectures (e.g., software, hardware, communication, wiring harness, and power architectures). These methods and tools apply to technologies such as multi-core processors, distributed systems, AUTOSAR, Flexray, CAN, Ethernet, and DSRC among others. The methods and tools are usually (but not limited to) model-based.
